Although my kids are not in school because it's summer, I still manage to run late for work. Maybe it's the fact that I know I have additional time to roam around. As I walk in 10 minutes late, my "acting" supervisor asks me, "What's on your agenda for today?". Remind you that I have not even made it to my desk. I still have to turn on my computer, I have to check messages from yesterday because I was out, open my mail and then eventually I will have time to figure out "what is on my agenda".
This question bothers me because it's like you're asking me, What work do you have to do? or do you have enough work to do? As if I am a child and you have to keep tabs on me. Now I am a professional and I have been doing this for quite some time, I don't ask you what you are doing, so don't ask me what I am doing. If I need help, I know where to find you.
This could all be because I started off having a bad day and before I can get settled to work, I am already being asked questions -as if I dream about what work I have to do before I even get to work.
Working for a living

Most of us have to work for a living, I know that I do. But how do you balance a family, work, school and a social life with a smile on your face, especially in today's society?
Times are tough!!! Gas prices are high, food prices have risen, but my pay has not increased to keep up. So my question to you is How do you keep it all together?
Well for me, I love family and if I was left with nothing, I will still have my family. I have a wonderful husband, two handsome boys and they keep me on my GRYND. Now work is a different story. Now I don't want to seem like I am complaining, I love what I do. In fact, I love what I do so much, I have decided to enroll in school to complete my Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management. The issue that I have with work is that I am THE Human Resources department for my company. My company is considered a small business employer and currently we have about 65 employees that I am responsible for, only me. My pay does not commensuate with my work and I don't think anybody else notices this, except me. This alone is enough to drive someone crazy, but I have my family my wonderful husband and my two hansdome boys to keep me on my GRYND.
Now even with having a family and working full time, I have decided to continue my education. I have to find time to attend classes and study for my test, luckily I choose to attend classes online ( If you ever felt that you were unable to go back to school, it can be done). I am currently learning how to manage my time between work, family and school and it doesn't seem so bad. As long as I have my wonderful husband and my two handsome boys to help keep me on my GRYND.
