Working from home

I woke up this morning only to find that my car is gone and I have no money. My husband has not only taken my car to work, but he also took my last dollars left on my night stand. On a normal day I would be very upset, however on this day I'm not. I am working from home today, a trend that has recently caught on in the work force.

How do you feel about working from home? I love working from home especially since my kids returned to school, I can really focus on my work. But how much work are you actually doing.
If you are home, you are compelled to do the laundry, run the dishwasher, clean the house....everything except working. You find yourself skimming through the channels or even popping in a movie. On this day, I am having lunch with my friend. We are taking advantage of our new found freedom. For her, all 3 of her kids are now in school. For me, the ability to work from home.

I found a way to work from home without being at home. How is this possible? Nowadays most of us have those smart phones with email capabilities and you can gain access to your work and personal emails. They are wonderful. I can shop at the mall, I can run errands, I can get my nails done, but how much work am I actually doing.

Is this wrong?

I love working from home because it takes me away from the structure of working from 9 to 5. A realistic plan for me is to be able to balance work and home within a 24-hour day.

Yes, working from home does allow me to do the laundry, prepare healtier dinners, prepare a household budget, etc., and more importantly, perform the job that I am getting paid to do.

A typical work-at-home day might conclude at 10:00pm, which is fine for me because it makes me feel like my life is balanced, and not stressed out.

I did enjoy your article, what exactly do you do from home? I am looking to create a full time income for myself from the comfort of my home too!
